TOWN MEETING
You are hereby notified that the Town Board of the Town of Hampden will meet at the Town Hall, N1291 Cty N on
Wednesday, April 8th, 2026, at 2:30 pm, immediately following the Town meeting. At said time and place the Town Board will convene into closed session.
After the meeting has been properly convened, the Town Chair will announce to all those present the purpose of the meeting and the fact that the Town Board intends to convene in closed session for the following purposes. Upon motion duly made and seconded and acted upon by the majority of the members present as required under §19.85(1)(a), Stats., the closed session will take place which may be attended by the Town Board, Plan Commission member Trapp, staff and legal counsel.
The purpose of the meeting is for deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session pursuant to §19.85(1)(e) and/or to confer with legal counsel who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted with respect to litigation in which it is likely to become involved as authorized under §19.85(1)(g), Stats. Specifically to be discussed are issues regarding the Columbia Wind Project.
The Town Board will then reconvene into Open Session for purposes of potential additional discussion and/or action on matters discussed in closed session.
